As many agreed "1992 marks an end to MTV Golden Era, which was brought to a close by a series of unrelated factors" including the beging of the famous series "The Real World"(Marks).

With music videos flowing, MTV "forced film making to evolve"(Marks).

MTV was created to be "television for teens" because other television "didn't care about teens"(Marks).

Those who ran MTV in the earlier days " had almost no television experience"  most of them came from the radio(Marks).

"Music videos were rare" before MTV came along because "there was no need for them" (Marks).

 I Want My MTV explains the first decade of MTV in 1981, where all that was on were music videos. However as MTV continued to grow "The Real World" in 1992, became the start to reality television and the change of MTV programming. The book contains interviews with artists, directors, VJs, and television and music executives.

The book was written based mainly on interviews to be informative and entertaining.

No, there is no bias but he does give his opinion at certain points.

I plan to use this source as evidence that people working in the music industry also agree that MTV in the 80s was great.
